Tue Nov 10, 2009, 11:06 AM
'Sup my furry fiend friends across the sea! (And of course those who are not) ^^ I hope you had a nice October, which for many of you was filled with devMeets and ...drunkenness. Ehm, ehm.

Oh and =Anoya, I knew you were beautiful, but gosh darn, that's just not saying enough. Inside and out, darling, inside and out. <3

Now onto the announcements --------->

@@@ Postcards have been sent to these here Europe boogers:
=largethomas, =Anoya, `anmari, ~GeekyGiza, ~Reiyuka, Leels.

@@@ Should anyone ELSE decide they want one, let me know, and forgive me to those who are sent, for the lateness. ^^;

@@@ Um...to whom it may concern, I made a Flickr. Finally. And, that will hopefully motivate me to stop leaving my images on the CF and import and edit them for...viewing. In celebration of my most momentous step against my rather potent LAZINESS *deep breath-inhale-steals all your oxygen in the process* I has features. =D

Autumn Came Back!

Mon Oct 19, 2009, 11:53 AM
I know I'm not the only one who has noticed that...fall totally just ditched us in the last week or so. And now it's returned! to me anyway, I hope for the rest of you as well.

And now, I'd like to just say hello again, to all you wonderful people, watching this empty account. lol. I will add a few old and new images just so it's not so desolate here. An it please you to know, I have been shooting more lately. Which brings me to this point I mentioned to Anoya in #europeans last Wednesday: I've just fallen in love with Aperture-priority! I hate I've not been using it more, because for the first time, I snap and the colour is JUST as MY eyes see. Is that not the whole point of photography? Notwithstanding your personal message, but, the challenge of making the camera see how you are seeing your subject(s)?? I have a harder time making that happen in Manual, which is what I normally shoot in. And while I prefer to have as much control over the settings as possible, I must tell you that it's ending in a lot of frustration for me. Tutorials aren't much good in my direction, unless I have a specific need first. We all learn differently. Photography for me, I see now, is not going to stick by reading text. It's not enough to want to know how to do something, I have to have "why" and "what" first. These two have often come from..everywhere.

Now, all this excitement is due to my constant ogling in on Flikr. There are..oh my goodness, so many talented people on there, whom I'd like just to feature a bit in my journals to come. They have really inspired me, a lot of them, (for one) to stop being so lazy and just experiment with my equipment as I go along. I can look at what people do there and how they did it, and then it 'clicks', so to say, how I can work on my own ideas. Funky, but eh, I might finally have something worth showing you all some time soon, so I'll hold onto this.

Not to undermine any of the amazing people here; I've not forgotten this place, and many of you are STILL shuttering awesomely. So, don't misunderstand me. ^^

¤ Next! I'm mooching off Nancy in asking...who wants postcards? ^^ ;
¤ Take your pick to have now, or..I can send you it this time next month, so you will get it in time for Christmas. Note me your info if you're interested so I can start my list please.

¤ And do have a great week - the sun came back!
-Terah

¤ Postcards arrived 24 October! I will ship soon as I can.

Um, Hi!

Tue Aug 18, 2009, 2:39 PM
Okay, so it's been a while - and that's putting it mildly. There is so much going on here, I can't begin to get into it, suffice it to say, I'm always on my toes.

How are you all?

I've not forgotten any, believe me I haven't. And, if you do read this, please just take a moment to tell me what's up. I bet you are all running around flailing and otherwise making funny noises too. ^_~

My parents are biking 37OO miles across the U.S., you can read about it here: 2 Sergeants Biking

So I'm quite occupied trying to get attention for their efforts, it's a big deal. School is going fairly well, going into my second year of college now, and hopefully be transferring soon to Uni somewhere..for Journalism.

Don't know what else to say except I miss many peoples, and I am sorry for not checking in on you in mass, sooner. How are you treating your lives? Speak!

some small say -

Tue Aug 12, 2008, 9:32 PM
Well, I know I haven't done any features in a while.
Actually 'a while' might be putting it a tad too kindly.

O well. Thank you Nancy <333, for everything. Really. I enjoyed it immensely as it gave me a chance to show folks off and I hope it was worth the time of those, who continually came by to see what was new.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Bejing Olympics.
It's really something else, that opening ceremony was just - wow.

Also, I trust everyone is enjoying holiday if they have it.
Stay safe, beware of sun.

Tea.
